My Story Begins in Rome
Hi, I’m Marco Bellini — an Italian chef, a huge pasta lover, and the person behind PastaRealm.
I was born and raised in Rome, Italy, in a neighborhood where food was a big part of life. I started cooking when I was a kid, standing next to my mom in the kitchen. She’d let me help stir the sauce, shape the pasta dough, and taste everything. That’s where my love for cooking began — at home, surrounded by family, good food, and tradition.

From Culinary School to the Restaurant Life
As I got older, I knew I wanted to become a chef. I went to school and earned a degree in Culinary Arts and Nutrition, where I learned not just how to cook, but also how food works and how it helps our bodies. I believe good food should taste amazing and be good for you too.
I worked as a chef for over 15 years in a busy restaurant in the heart of Rome. It was a great experience — fast-paced, full of flavor, and full of life. I made pasta every single day, and I never got tired of it. Pasta has always been my favorite thing to cook (and eat!).

Life and Love in California
Then one day, while on a vacation in Miami, I met Emma — a wonderful woman who later became my wife. After a few years of long-distance, I decided to move to the United States, and now we live together in California. It was a big change, but I brought all my pasta love with me.

Why I Started PastaRealm
I started PastaRealm to share the recipes, stories, and little tricks I’ve learned over the years. This isn’t just a food blog — it’s a place where I share everything I know and love about pasta. Every recipe is tested, simple to follow, and full of real flavor.
I also love food photography, so you’ll notice a lot of pictures here. I take them all myself — I believe food should not only taste good, but look beautiful too.
When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m usually watching Italian football (I never miss a Serie A match) or reading. I spend a lot of time reading cookbooks and food history — I love learning about where recipes come from and how they’ve changed over time.
